The Bergmann & Koch BKS17 Shutter camera system from the EXPERT series is a modern backup camera system with AI-powered pedestrian detection designed for commercial vehicles and professional applications. The system automatically detects people and obstacles behind the vehicle and also displays a distance indicator for people and objects directly on the monitor screen. This allows the driver to identify hazards more quickly and maneuver more safely. Warnings are provided both visually and audibly. Both functions can be deactivated at any time if necessary.

A key feature of the system is the camera’s motorized shutter cover. This reliably protects the camera lens from dirt, rain, and dust. When reverse gear is engaged, the cover opens automatically and closes again as soon as reverse gear is disengaged. Additionally, the shutter cover can be opened manually at any time by pressing a button on the monitor.

The camera features state-of-the-art night vision with advanced low-light amplification, producing a significantly brighter image even in very low light conditions. An automatic camera heater also prevents the lens from fogging up or freezing. The lotus coating on the camera lens ensures that water and dirt simply roll right off.

With HD resolution (1920 × 1080), a 140° field of view, and a 7-inch HD monitor, the system provides a clear and detailed view of the vehicle's surroundings.

The system includes a remote control and a Wi-Fi module. This allows you to easily configure and customize the camera's face detection, distance display, and detection range.
